Welcome to Danbury Catholic School

"I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works!" Psalm 139:14

Our theme this year is "I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works!” Dr. Seuss said, “Today you are you. That is TRUER than true. There is NO ONE alive that is youer than you!” We want our students to focus on the wonderful qualities that make each of them unique and special.

Every child has unique character strengths and abilities that allow him or her to express their individual selves. Remember when you discovered your child loved to listen to music, or to climb, or to build blocks? These may be hints as to your child's future interests, and perhaps in life they will become a musician, a mountain climber, or an architect. God gave each of us certain gifts and abilities. It is our job to help our students realize their dreams and begin to fulfill them. God made each of us for a reason. God designed each of us. It was His idea, and God doesn’t make mistakes.

Just as no two snowflakes are alike, God made us all unique individuals. We all have a purpose in life to fulfill. As educators and parents, we must instill a sense of each child's extraordinary life within them. We must encourage their gifts, talents and special dreams of which they have been given. Our children must know that they are one person with their own abilities, yet also one of many in a world of opportunity.

This year, we hope to encourage our students to find their gifts and talents. We want to encourage each child to love themselves as God made them. This will not only help them love themselves but to also love others. A secure child recognizes their own uniqueness and that opens the door to being able to recognize the uniqueness of others. We encourage our children to stand up for themselves and for others by listening to our children and teaching them that they have a voice worth being heard. Help your child become the person God wants him/her to be. May God bless every member of our Danbury Catholic family. May we all remember to live Psalm 139:14 every single day. “I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works!
